Inspired by my own journey, I am passionate about providing therapy to help others explore their own paths and work toward a healing understanding of themselves.

About D. Joel Marquart

From the south-central region of the “Mitten State” (Michigan), Joel obtained his MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (2016) from Wheaton College. While interning at the Moody College counseling center in Chicago, Joel provided therapy to college students experiencing social anxiety, depression, ADHD, low self-esteem, complex life transitions, perfectionism and identity development struggles. Following graduate school, Joel worked at a private practice in Glen Ellyn, IL until joining forces with his wife Stephanie Marquart to create Living Roots Counseling Inc.

If you were to catch Joel outside the office, you may find him walking his puppy, running a trail, or joining his wife Stephanie in seeking new coffee shops, unique cuisine, and places to catch a sunset.
